Casual Shopping In Colaba Causeway.

Image
Sorry Everybody !!! My fashion posts took a backseat as i got so engrossed updating my travel and recipe posts. I am so sorry for that. but then as it always goes " its never too late than never ". So as i promised to tag my husband this time and help me in carrying my shopping bags ( hope he never comes across this post ). But jokes apart, today i am going to explore colaba causeway. Colaba causeway , also known as Shahid Bhagat Singh road is a commercial street. Colaba causeway is very close to mumbai's gateway of india and taj mahal palace & tower. Its one of mumbai's popular place for street shopping. ( and my personal favourite ). Here you will find shops ranging from footwear, ethnic jewellery, apparels , antiques. This street also boasts of some amazing and oldest eateries in the city. And you would only be a fool if you don't try the restaurants and cafes out here. And i am not a fool that way. Since it was a holiday and we woke up late in t

. Namastey !!!!! Today i will be showing you how to cook an authentic punjabi food in its easiest way !!! All punjabi aunties please do forgive me if i have made it too easy and not fulfilled all the criteria of its authentic cooking process. But this is the way i am . I try and make cooking as simple as possible. This dish is cooked almost every fortnight in all punjabi families. I have a fascination for punjabi food. I love its color , texture and its consistency neither too thin nor too thick. And i also have a punjabi influence in all my cooking as i grew up amidst them. I would here  like to mention the name of my moms closest friend mrs. neelam talwar kapoor whom i have seen cooking the most complex dishes with such ease and calmness right from my childhood that you will get to see little bit of punjabi touch in all my dishes ( even the way i prepare my tea ). Today i will be preparing mixed dal tadka , one of my favourite dish not only because of its flavour but also b

Hi one and all , I try updating my blog and keep posting on a regular interval of two days . So today , i have come up with yet another simple recipe . Being a bengali if i dont post a fish recipe , my family for sure will discard me . Fish is like a staple food for bengalis . We eat fish like 365 days a year . Ya you have read it right. I am sure you must be giving expressions like ( WHAT THE FISH ) !!!!! Never mind its a long story with fish and bengalis. And yes you have guessed it right today i will be posting a fish curry recipe. Since i believe in hassle free cooking  , my recipe will take hardly 30mins to cook. On a regular basis for lunch and dinner we bengalis eat either rohu fish ( salmon ) or katla fish  ( bengal carp ) . I will be preparing today's fish curry with bengal carp since that is what my husband bought from the fish market last night. You can cook the recipe with any other fish as well. So , here is the recipe. Preparation time : 5mins Cooking time :

Hello everybody , Today my post  will be on a quick and easy to make recipe . Frankly speaking cooking was not my forte until I got married. Ever since I got married , I took up to cooking . In my initial days , I used to call up my mom , aunts , granny for recipes ; ( not to mention recipes that are available online ) ; have helped me a great deal. But more or less all recipes were a little tiresome. Most recipes on net resemble a WAR like situation. (so complicated ). Its good for those who have the passion for cooking. I hate spending too much time in my kitchen. As I am a laid back person and very lazy by nature , I came up with an amalgamation of a few ingredients/spices and ended up cooking the same recipes taking not more than 30 mins. Most of my recipes that I will be posting from now on will not take much of your time and hopefully my recipes will be of great help to all the working women & men , and even the hostelites. Happy cooking guys !!!! Its winter and all you

Bali In Indonesia

Since its always good to expand your horizons , so i decided to do exactly so with my blog. And made two more additions TRAVEL & RECIPES to it. Today's post will be on TRAVEL. Since it was my second anniversary yesterday, so got a little nostalgic remembering my HONEYMOON.  Honeymoons are meant to be special and exotic (not to mention romantic). Its every girls dream to have their honeymoon spent in such a way that will be etched in their memories forever. To me, honeymoons are nothing but a couples' longing for seclusion and not every secluded place can be romantic, exotic and budget friendly at the same time. So thought of penning down a "Budget International Honeymoon" that every newlyweds or soon to be bride/groom aspires for. Bali is a place where i would say 'serenity' is redefined. Its exactly the way it was shown in the hollywood flick "EAT PRAY LOVE." i would say its way more beautiful , if you witness it physically. its breat
