Image
A very simple and quick recipe for all fish lovers like me. I remember a friend of mine from college inviting me to her place over lunch , where I clearly remember her mother serving some of the authentic bangladeshi dishes and this recipe is one of them . After repeatedly insisting her mother to reveal the recipe she finally agreed to it ( as good cooks from yesteryears never used to reveal their recipes ). Last evening somehow I just thought of recreating the dish and the end result was pretty convincing. preparation time : 10 mins cooking time : 20 mins total time: 30 mins servings : 3 ingredients : onion : 4 finely chopped ginger : 2 inch , finely grates garlic : about 10 pods , finely grated green chilli : 5 to 6 slit turmeric powder : 1 tablespoon red chilli powder : 1 teaspoon coriander powder : 1 teaspoon cumin powder : 1 teaspoon catfish / pabda maach : 3 note : you may ignore adding coriander powder as few people do not prefer using it in fish recipes.

Its been six months since I have started my blog.  And thanks to all my readers for a fairly encouraging response but the discouraging part is that my eye specialist have warned me not to spend time on laptops , mobiles and television sets for more than half an hour at a stretch. For the last two months I was under complete medication , and now a little relief to my eyes; hopefully I do not have to undergo any surgery right now but that only time will say.So this is reason for not having been able to make any update on my blog for the last two months and also from now on will not be able to make updates on a regular basis. SORRY and also hoping that you will understand my situation. Coming back to today's post , will show you the recipe of Tangra maccher patla jhol/ Catfish curry . To make this simple recipe all you need is : preparation time : 5 mins cooking time : 25 mins servings : 4 catfish : 300gms black onion seeds/ nigella : 1 teaspoon onion : 2 medium potato :

Bake A Cake : Simple & Easy Baking

Image
Ciao all my readers, Now when I am jotting down my today's recipe in my blog , there is a thunderstorm happening outside ; scaring the hell out of me. This thunderstorm made me remind of all those thunderstorms that I spent cuddling in my moms arms , making me feel so calm and quiet even when it was clash of blastering sounds outside. She would ensure that I was settled and not panicking anymore , only then would she go to the kitchen and come back with a mug of coffee and her homemade cake. Let me tell you she bakes some amazing  cakes. And what could be better than some serious rain happening outside and mom & me chatting  with hot coffee in our hands and those heavenly cakes melting down our throats. We continued this way until  I got married. But I never cared to learn from her ( as in baking and cooking ) , I was not at all girly that way , I was much into sports; kind of a tomboy. Again I thought mom would always be there by my side so whats the need to learn these thin
